FaOC teaching method "My Film, My Story"
The FaOC teaching method “My Film, My Story” aims to improve the oral language skills of children with a communication challenge. The purpose of Film as Supported Communication is: a) to support telling stories about an unknown event at home and at school, b) to connect with others, c) to participate and d) to improve speaking skills. For determining the child's target levels, "frames of reference" have been described by the national expertise center for curriculum development (SLO). These frameworks provide tools for teachers to see which skills children and young people need to master (with natural speech) in order to be at a certain language level.
